This document governs the privacy notice of the website fedorovicius.com. It explains what personal data (PD) and non-personal data (NPD) may be collected from you, how it is collected, how it is protected, who it may be shared with, and how you can access, change or limit its use. It also explains the legal rights you have with respect to your personal data.

Your rights

When using this website and submitting personal data, you may have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other laws. Depending on the legal basis for processing your PD, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• The right to restrict processing. You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. When processing is restricted, your data may be stored, but not processed further.
• The right to data portability. You have the right to request and get the personal data you provided and use it for your own purposes. It will be provided within 30 days of your request.

• The right to withdraw consent. Where processing is based on your consent (for example, analytics cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.
• The right to file a complaint. You can file a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) or the data protection authority in your country.

Definitions

Non-personal data (NPD) is information that is in no way personally identifiable.

Personal data (PD) means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, who can be identified directly or indirectly by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier.

A Visitor is someone who browses this website.

Information collected

You can use this website without giving any personal data. Personal data is collected in the following ways:

• Automatic information. The web server automatically receives information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page you requested and the website that referred you. This is used to deliver and secure the website.
• Contact form. If you send a message through the contact form, your full name, email address, subject and message are collected so that I can read and reply to it. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the website is collected with Google Analytics (see below). The legal basis is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Use of cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. This website uses two types of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the website to work properly, for example to remember your cookie consent choice. They don’t require consent.
• Performance (analytics) cookies. Collect information about how the website is used, such as pages visited and traffic sources. They are set only after you accept them.

This website does not use advertising, targeting or remarketing cookies, and it doesn’t load any marketing tracking codes (such as the Meta pixel or Google Ads tags). You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Manage cookie settings” link in the footer of every page, or by deleting cookies in your browser. Your choice is stored in a cookie called cookie_consent_status for 12 months.

Google Analytics

With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use it: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, what device and browser they use, and their approximate location (country and city). This information is used only to improve the website. Google Analytics advertising features (remarketing, Google signals and advertising personalization) are turned off, and the data is not combined with any other personal data. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to manage the Google Analytics tracking code. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies or store personal data. It loads Google Analytics only after you give consent.

Cloudflare Turnstile

The contact form is protected from spam with Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. To tell people and bots apart, Turnstile processes technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics. It does not set tracking cookies and the data is not used for advertising. The legal basis is legitimate interest in keeping the contact form free of spam. How your information is used

• To reply to messages you send through the contact form or by email
• To understand how the website is used and improve it (only with your consent)
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

Sharing information

Your personal data is never sold or rented to third parties. It is shared only with service providers that are needed to run this website: the web hosting provider, the email provider that delivers contact form messages, Cloudflare (spam protection) and Google (analytics, only with your consent).

Legally required releases of information. Your PD may be disclosed if that is (a) required by subpoena, law or other legal process; (b) necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies; (c) necessary to protect against legal action or claims from third parties; or (d) necessary to protect the legal rights, property or personal safety of the data controller or others.

Retaining and destroying your PD

Personal data is kept only for as long as it’s needed:

Updating your PD and revoking consent

To update or delete your personal data, or to withdraw your consent, email [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before it.

Do Not Track settings

Some web browsers let you send a “Do Not Track” request. This website does not respond to such signals. Analytics runs only if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie consent tool.

Links to other websites

This website contains links to other websites, such as analyticsmania.com, YouTube and LinkedIn. These websites are not under my control and have their own privacy notices. It is your responsibility to check how they treat your personal data.

Protecting children’s privacy

This website is not designed for anyone under the age of 16, and personal data from children under 16 is not knowingly collected. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent personal data through this website, please get in touch and it will be deleted.

Security

This website uses industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect your personal data. The service providers used for this website also maintain technical and physical safeguards. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Transferring personal data outside the European Union

Some of the service providers listed above (Google and Cloudflare) may process personal data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which both companies are certified, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

This privacy notice may be updated from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a new “last update” date.
